A new way to submit your links!
Today, we rolled out a new submission page that will give you more freedom to submit your links, enrich them with appropriate keywords, and categorize them. You will also be able to select the thumbnail view of your submission with more precision.

Fresh version deployed, new rules :)
Aside from a few cosmetic changes, two important new features made it into this new release of Charmants.com.
The first is the submission page, now enhanced with useful tips on how to write proper titles and descriptions, complete with character counters!

Explore our new adult section
3 weeks ago we soft-launched a new section featuring adult content. We wanted boys who keep their shorts on to get their votes, and our content to be clearly divided: adult stories are not featured on the home page, but the Pink X story card leads to them. We're launching :)
Charmants 2.0 is up at www.charmants.com :) We’re just waiting for the new DNS to propagate.
Last beta update?
The Top 10 sites were relocated above recent comments, the Twitter and RSS feeds are now live… We’re currently watching over the server, and if we like the way this baby behaves, we will probably launch Charmants 2.0 later today :)
Beta update #5
The new version just deployed contains new features on the moderation console (we’ll show some screenies of the process at a later date), ad server optimizations and green hearts (red usually means ‘no’ on Charmants) for all the sites in the new Top 10 list, as ranked by CeeJay.

We deployed a new version a few minutes ago, that changes the way UI images are served, so that the 2.0 experience feels even more ‘snappier’.
A link to Kitchen C is now available in the FAQ and on the server error page. The RSS feed now reflects the current Upcoming queue. And in the keyword department, ‘Jocks and Athletes’ was replaced by ‘Hunks and...
New server is up!
Charmants 2.0 now lives in NYC, on a pretty big server that should deliver close-to-stellar performance :)
If you are experiencing login difficulties (leading to server errors), please clear your cache, erase your cookies, restart your browser, and all should be fine.
Beta update #3
We deployed a new version of Charmants today, crushing quite a few bugs — one biggie was related to the way we manage keywords — and allowing for a wider variety of submitted contents.
The Contact and Login pages design and behavior were also modified, along with the frequency at which CeeJay re-evaluates the ranking of each story.

Interesting usability issues were detected, and the solutions are currently being tested before deployment—the most important being related to a bunch of disorienting error messages that can arise during a submission immediately following the creation of a new account.
The account creation page was also modified.
Plus the usual CSS/browser compatibility horrors, thankfully limited to a few...

Several issues have already been detected by our cool squad of early beta testers—most of them minor so far (the bugs, not the testers LOL). We will push new builds on a regular basis, so things should quickly improve with time.
